BUFMAR recently conducted an intensive five-day training program focused on strengthening the skills of store managers from 20 health centers in the areas of supply chain management, pharmacy operations, and the rational use of medicines. The training brought together healthcare professionals from four districts in Rwanda: Rubavu, Gakenke, Musanze, and Nyabihu.
This capacity-building initiative is part of the IMPACT Project (Improving Pharmaceutical Access Through Continuous Training) and was made possible through a collaborative partnership between BUFMAR, the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network (EPN), and Action Medeor, with financial support from BMZ (the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development).
As a key outcome of the training, participants developed action plans aimed at improving pharmaceutical services in their respective health centers. These plans will be reviewed and monitored during upcoming mentorship visits, ensuring that the knowledge and skills gained are effectively translated into practical improvements on the ground.
